Meet the Experts
Don Brown, Chief Technology Officer
Don is a graduate of University of Cincinnati earning a BS in Information Systems and has added many other certifications along the way, including Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, MS Small Business Specialist, Cisco Certified Network Engineer, Certified Novell Engineer, and others. He is a technical expert with over 20 years of experience in identifying and solving complex IT challenges.
His goal is to offer tailored solutions to clients so they can focus on their business. With this in mind, he founded BrownCOW to provide managed IT support to his clients while identifying key areas of opportunity. His passion is providing best-cost, best-feature IT solutions for any business need. Don consistently provides our clients with cost effective answers to today’s most challenging problems. He stays engaged in the current developments throughout our industry to ensure we bring you the very best of technology that works.

Adger Thomann, Systems Support and Business Development
Adger’s technical background spans many years in electronics manufacturing, test engineering, product development and quality. He has experience with industry leaders such as like Burr Brown Research, Cincinnati Microwave, Time Warner and others.
As a managing partner in small business since 1985 he understands the challenges that your company faces and how to find affordable, reliable solutions. Adger joined BrownCOW in 2001, with a broad base of technical skills and brings over 30 years of small business experience to our clients. He is responsible for the continued improvement of communications in order to bring our clients the best of what we have to offer every day.
Application integration, Windows Server / Windows Small Business Server 2008 and 2011, Server 2012, Citrix / XenApp, VMware, StorageCraft, EMR, HIPAA compliance , Meaningful Use and networking systems are just some of Adger’s specialties.
Chantha Ouk, Senior Systems and Data recovery Specialist
Chantha is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati, where he majored in Information Technology. With over 10 years of IT experience, he started his career as a Help Desk support technician for Cincinnati Bell in 2002, then served as an administrator and IT analyst for the Klosterman Baking Company in 2005.
In 2009, he joined BrownCOW Technology following time spent with a Chicago-based small business consulting firm. Chantha manages and supports key clients such as the local Ronald McDonald House Charities and several other firms on a daily basis.
His technical skills include Windows Server and Small Business Server 2003 and 2011, Citrix, VMware.
Chantha is also a Certified StorageCraft Engineer.
Justin Rabnott, Operations Manager for BCT South
Justin has been a resident of Kentucky since 2006, migrating from Australia where his IT career began. He kickstarted his new career path by obtaining various technical certifications. He spent the next 10 years providing technical support to Orthodontic offices, IT consulting across Central Kentucky, and most recently as a Network Administrator for a nonprofit where he became a customer of BrownCOW Technology in 2014. His confidence in and experience with BrownCOW lead him to join us as the Operations Manager for BCT South. His goal is to provide the same outstanding services to clients in Central Kentucky as we have done in Ohio and Northern Kentucky since 2001.
PJ Tharpe, Helpdesk Tier 2, Customer service
PJ is a graduate of DeVry University earning a BS in Information Systems Security. He has over 10 years of IT experience, and his career began as a Network Support Technician for Spectrum in 2007. He joined BrownCOW Technology in 2018 with three years as the Helpdesk Manager for a small Managed Service Provider in Kentucky. He brings an impressive ability to identify and resolve issues for our clients. We are all pleased to have him as our newest member.
His technical skills include Customer Service, Mac OS, Android, Windows Server, VMWare, Networking, Security and Web Development.
Wendy Ellis, Helpdesk, Special Projects and Desktop Security
Wendy is a graduate of California State University where she majored in Computer Science and Engineering. She started her IT career in the Air Force and spent 9 years working all over the world as an Information Systems Technical Controller and received an Associates of Applied Science in Information Systems Technology.
After leaving active duty, she worked in various engineering disciplines to include systems engineer, software engineer, and as a program manager. She joined BrownCOW Technology in 2014 as an IT Specialist and program manager.
